What is the itSMF?

The IT Service Management Forum (itSMF) is the only internationally recognised and independent organisation dedicated to IT Service Management. It is a not-for-profit organisation, wholly owned, and principally operated, by its membership.

The itSMF is a major influence on, and contributor to, industry "best practice" and Standards worldwide, working in partnership with a wide range of governmental and standards bodies worldwide.

Formed in the UK in 1991, there are now national chapters in an ever-increasing number of countries on all continents.

What are our aims?

The aim of itSMF is to:

Develop and promote industry best practice in service management
Engender professionalism within service management personnel
Provide a vehicle for helping members improve service performance
Provide members with a relevant forum in which to exchange information and share experiences with their peers on both sides of the industry
Provide a forum to service providers, suppliers and users to discuss matters related to ITSM
Assist members in finding and obtaining the correct guidelines and tools, aimed at ITSM
Promote exchange of information, ideas and experience
Enable organisations in streamlining management of IT service delivery

Vision Statement

itSMF Belgium is an independent, non-profit organisation, open to both professional organisations and individuals, with a mission to offer a forum for all those interested and involved in building and running high-quality ICT organisations. We aim at facilitating the exchange of information and experiences between members with the intention to support all our members in their efforts to deliver the best and highest quality ICT Services.

itSMF Belgium offers a unique opportunity for end-users, ICT managers, business managers, suppliers and all those for whom ICT is crucial to running their core business, to get together, meet, discuss, share ideas and explore a common understanding of IT Service Management. To facilitate this, itSMF Belgium organises events and distributes Newsletters.
