Product Management Life Cycle at the European Commission (Hosted by Sogeti)

The Directorate of Corporate I.T. Solutions & Services of DG Digit is responsible for the information technology infrastructure as well as for the infrastructure required for corporate information systems within the European Commission. A key enabling instrument in order to fulfil its mission is the Product Management Service which deals with the complete lifecycle management of all hardware and software products, i.e.: the selection, acquisition, implementation, training and support of I.T. products. About the speakers: José Marín is currently head of unit "Corporate infrastructure solutions for Information Systems" in DG DIGIT at the European Commission. Among others activities this unit manages “Product Management Lifecycle” services delivers modular IS infrastructure building blocks shareable by all EC applications and associated technical services (e.g. in the area of application security, application life cycle management, a common interoperability platform for Commission applications, web vulnerability and load testing services). He is working for the EC in the IT domain for 25 years and previously he worked in the University of Valencia (Spain) and the regional Government of Valencia. He holds an IT Master from the University of Madrid and the University of Nancy  Henri Putseys holds a university degree of civil engineering in Computer Science at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium. Henri joined the Commission in 1987 and has been involved since then with information systems development and infrastructure. Since 2004 he is deputy head of unit corporate infrastructure solutions for information systems in DG DIGIT at the European Commission.. This event will be hosted in the premises of our partner Sogeti.
